The ProSeries is our flagship class that takes you from concept to marketing with our guidance.
This six month long experience is the basis for every deal you see at ScreenwritingU. Writers are not only taught ways to improve their writing skills (over 300 top level writing skills), but writers are also given insights into the business of screenwriting so that you’ll be comfortable marketing your projects and interacting with industry professionals.
I went to NYU. While I loved it dearly and it helped me find my voice, the ProSeries did what 4 years and a whole lot of debt could not: give me concrete skills to crank out the work and a real understanding of how the industry actually works. It also gave me a devoted community of writers who are actually producing content with concrete action plans. I thought I needed grad school to do that. I didn’t. All I needed was this class.

ProSeries Payment Plan
- Pay the class over 6 months. ($50 admin fee added to the cost of the class)
- $250 up front and then $100 per month thereafter, for 6 months.
Hal Croasmun started ScreenwritingU with his wife Cheryl almost 15 years ago. While studying screenwriting, Hal was discouraged by the lack of classes that really taught writers what the professionals know. With an extensive background in corporate training and a designed process called “Expert Modeling”, Hal began interviewing top level writers, producers, agents, and managers.
This lead to a different way of looking and teaching screenwriting skills … a complete model for actually WRITING and SELLING scripts!
